AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO CELEBRATE OUR 100TH POST THAN WITH THE NEWS - THAT WOODROW IS BETTER - OR AT LEAST OUT OF THE WOODS - HE CULTURED CLEAN AND WE EXPECT TODAY'S BLOOD WORK TO SAY THE SAME - SO ANOTHER COUPLE WEEKS OF ANTIBIOTICS AND WE ARE ALL GOOD!!!!!

SO, ON TO THE PAW IT FORWARD

We recently participated in 2 paw it forwards - as mentioned yesterday one got eaten!!! proof below - that is all I have 2 stuffie toys and lots of destruction - and a very guilty dog - But we thank Daisy Dog so so much - The collar tags were retrieved and are awesome I will put them on there collars and take pics soon - and the pieces of the card that I salvaged were beautiful - and Woodrow loved the duck treats - so much he ate them package and all!!!

The second was from our buddy Moose - It is totally pawsome too - and survived delivery intacted - Sweetie was happy to help me unpack it - and picked our her favorite - after reading the card of course - thanx again Moose - everything is awesome

Good Morning All - Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

This is my 99th post - We will be celebrating our 100th post by posting about our pawsome Paw It Forward treats we got - We participated in 2 - With Moose and Daisy - But first a Funny ending to a scary Paw It Forward package!!!

Unfortunately Woodman & Sweetie were hospitalized over the weekend but they are home now and hopefully out of danger - This all due to someones inability to follow directions - I have a Vet Tech coming daily to give Wood his medicine when I am at work - I told her I want her doing nothing else but giving him his meds - Well I got a package and she decided to bring it in the house and put it on the coffee table for me - nice idea - unfortunately it contained Duck Jerky Treats - Well they ate the:

I have taken pictures - that I will post tomorrow - But Woodrow and Sweetie would like to apologize to this anonymous Paw It Forward buddy - cause there are no pics of them opening there pressies - and they ate all the nummies!!! They are currently grounded - even though they make a good case that Duck Nummies on the coffee table are fair game!!

Sorry we have been MIA lately - Woodrow is really testing Mommy's Patience and Bank Account but he is getting better - there was a obstruction scare during the week - but it turned out he was just severely constipated from all the meds - a little extra pumpkin and he is back on track - so Mommy is very happy.

There was also another incident - apparently one of the new doggies at the park had fleas - and the owner didn't tell everyone until one of the other owners said "you know your dog is scratching alot" to which the owner replied "He has a couple Fleas!!!" a couple fleas - well this doggie had been to the park for a couple days recently and was exposed to Sweetie and MJ - so mommy being the cleaning nut she is - FREAKED out and tore apart the whole house!! And scrubbed me and MJ - Wood too!!!

All seems to be fine now - We are very bad blogger we have 500+ posts to read - so we will be very busy today and tomorrow - but will unfortunately not be able to comment on all of them - also Moose sent us a PAW IT FORWARD package - but Mommy hasn't let us open it yet - we will open it tonight and post about it.

We are also preparing for an Adventure - we will be traveling to Alabama for 5 days the first week of November - where we will be meeting the TN Bull Terrors (We think) - there is a big doggie Show there that weekend.

Aunt Christine and Uncle Jared (Mommy's Sister) - Welcomed there second little human into the world Saturday morning - She had some slight issues but is absolutely fine now and home and a very happy little girl. Mommy promises to get better pics - but for now this is all she has.

Hiking Bullies

Well Wood made an appearance at the Hike today - and he was honored to meet Miss Khyra. He spent most of the time in the Truck because he is still sick and got worse when we were walking around too much - but Sweetie did the hike and had a wonderful time.

Unfortunately we dont have any pics - on the way to the hike Sweetie was sleeping on my bag and apparently turned the camera on and took a video of the inside of its case - so the battery was dead by the time we got there.!! But Khyras mommy took tons so we hope she will post some.

Wood looked a little better last night - we are keeping our fingers crossed - thanx again for all the support.

Funny Story Time

Okay time for a funny story - Last year it just so happened that I traded in my BMW truck while Woodrow was in the hospital - So the staff at my Vets office thought it was funny to paint a BMW logo on his nose and write his model number on his tush (he was a 4 series) when I picked him up - ever since then they call him my BMW boy - and joke that if I didn't have him I could have alot of other stuff!! I could never compare my big guy to a car - and wouldn't trade him in or anything - ever - but the joke makes me smile.

So that's the joke - hope it made some of you smile.

We have decided to stay with the current meds that are keeping the infection at bay and keep our fingers crossed that his immune system starts doing its job - we have a better chance that this will work than a chance that the other meds will NOT hurt him more.

The outpouring of support is absolutely incredible - several of you have asked if you can link to our blog - of course you can - I have tried to answer all of you personally - but I don't have several of your email addresses - I apologize.

We are going to try and post a little something every day or 2 - but if we don't please be patient

Thanx for all the support - I will leave the blog up and try to keep it updated occasionally.

As for the suggestions of going to a large hospital - all his cultures are reviewed by several Doctors including

Bonnie Brown (His Primary care)
Heather Peikes (His Dermatologist)
AMC (the teaching hospital in NYC, infectious disease specialist)
Tufts University (Infectious disease department chair)

and lastly his uncle who is a human Dr specializing in infecious disease in children who would like to remain anonymous!!!

They are all working together to get it right - but he is a stubborn boy and likes all the attention!!!

It isn't rare or new what he has - staph is all around us - normally we can naturally fight it off - but his system isn't working too well right now. This was caused by his allergies when he reacted to the treats I gave him when I didn't read them throughly - and his Thyroid which went misdiagnosed for a month - he is doing better Thyroid wise and hopefully once his immune system comes back it will start fighting and he will get better - the current antibiodic is dependent on that. All the vets have been very gracious with there time and I am only paying for the meds and tests - but still it is incredible expensive - and there is no place that is willing to help for free - or at least I have found one.

The outpouring of support is incredible - but you all missed my little joke - check the pic on the previous post - Look closely at Woods nose!! If i didn't have him I could afford one of those - but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

I am currently at a loss for words - Woods vet has suggested a different antibiodic (linezolid) - since the current one seems to be only holding it at bay and not curing it - I am not sure what I am going to do - it cost 300 per day - requires blood tests twice a week - I am exploring options of getting it from other sources - but since I have been so involved with his care - I haven't been able or in the mindset to blog - I have decided to take it down as of Saturday.

Plus none of my posts are fun to read anymore. I thank everyone who has visited and become our friends. I leave you with a pic of my big guy. A slightly edited version of a pic I have used before. ;)

Woodrow continues to do well - We are still waiting on the test to come back but the ones that have come back show that the new meds should work. Thanx again to everyone who has supported us during this hard time - he wagged his tail for the first time in weeks today - he will be back in the hospital this week but is home again for the weekend.

Wood is all cultured and home - His kidneys and liver are all good - his lungs and heart are good - the prelimary cultures look like they will be susceptible to a new antibiodic - so went for it - its a injection that last for 14 days.

Wood isn't getting any better - but the last set of cultures came back clean - so now we have no idea what is going on with his system - so he will be moved to a speciality hospital tomorrow for surgical exploration and new cultures - please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Woodman here - I am home for the weekend - I need my meds 4 times a day - and previously requires 24/7 monitoring - but since I have been stable for a couple days I got to come home for the Long Weekend - so when Mommy is at work for the next couple weeks I will go to Bonnie's - but for now - it is PARTY time. Okay maybe not - Maybe I made Mommy carry me to go out this morning - and I make her lift me on and off the couch 200x a day. But thats is what Mommy's are for.....RIGHT

Woodrow continues to do the same - no better no worse - which is actually a good thing - I am still staying with him most of the time - Sweetie and MJ are very mad at me for neglecting them. The outpouring of support has blown me away - He is my angel and I am so worried about him - but he is tough and I will keep helping him fight as long as I think he is willing. The prayers and power of the paw seem to be working Wood is no worse today - We sent out new extended cultures - and I ordered 1/2 a prescription of the antibiodics ($600) from the CDC - I will get them tomorrow - If the extended cultures come back the same as the first set he will need 2 rounds of the antibiodics ($1800 more). This is the same antibiodics as last time he was sick.

Bonnie (his vet) is a little more optomistic today - he is less cranky and wanted to walk a little - he made it 1/2 way down the block and Mommy had to carry him back - but that is much better than yesterday and sunday when he would even stand up for high value food (Carrots, Pork and CHEESE - his favorite)

So several of you have offered to try and help - I am incredibly appreciative and honoroed by your offers - But I have no idea how all this works - I have a paypal account under DCampy34@gmail.com that anyone who wants can contribute too - Someone already sent me money through that. Or do I need to setup something else to do this?

Sweetie - I am the jumper of the group and as a pup stole everything off the counters - the best was stole a HUGE roast that was on the counter - Mommy came home found me sleeping in the pot where the defrosting roast was - and I was twice my normally round self!!!

MJ stole a whole box of treats before Mommy realized he was now tall enough to reach the edge of the counter!!

Mornin All Woodman here - My Mommy is such a worry wart - silly silly Mommy - So what I have MRSA and my leg was swollen like a balloon and I wouldnt walk on it - I'm Tough I'll just walk it off!!!

Note from Mommy - Wood will survive - we caught it in time - and the antibiodics are working - his temp broke and is back to normal - he is eating and drinking - and eager to get into trouble - he is home now and Nurses Mommy and Sweetie will be attending to him.

Positive Thoughts - Please

If everyone can keep Woodrow in their thoughts and prayers that would be greatly appreciated - As some of you may know he has MRSA - It is usually under control but last Thursday he had a very severe breakout from an allergic reaction to Mommy ordering the wrong treats for him - Mommy immediately discontinued the treats and ordered the correct ones and cared for the sores caused my the allergic reaction - but as of yesterday they aren't getting better - they have cultured positive for MRSA and Dr. Bonnie has admitted him to the hospital again!! Mommy is going to do what she can - but is very upset fearing the worse. This is his second bout with MRSA last time he was in the hospital for almost 2 months. Mommy can't do that again.

So please pray for my Big Brother

Morning all and welcome to Walking Wednesday - Ironically with the Heat in NY this week - No Doggies wanted to walk!! So we ended up with 2 videos - 1 that got abruptly interrupted by a loose dog charging our direction - and a 2nd one that is almost 6 mins long cause Woodrow the only willing video participant of the Bully Brat crew was walking slower than usual!!

Bad Girl Follow-up

In Mommy defense Sweetie was not taught to jump up on things - Mommy was just using treats to get her to do it for the video - she came to live with us at 6 months old - and from day one jumped up on things - she now knows what is acceptable and what isn't - on top of the crates is her safe spot she sleeps up there and looks out the window - that kitchen table has no chairs and is in our basement - she does not go up on the good tables and the kitchen counters anymore.

But she does still sleep in the pot cabinet - all the other cabinets have child locks - but she likes to sleep in the pot cabinet - funny now - but not so funny when she was a pup and I came home the first day I had her and couldn't find her!! And since she is deaf you can't find her!!

And yes she is incredible light on her feet especially at 48lbs!!

As for size perspective - She is 48lbs - Woodrow is 69lbs - MJ aka Sherman is currently 46lbs!! Sherman is still very skinny - but is as tall or a little taller than Woodrow and as long as Woodrow - Sweetie is small Bully girl - She is 2-3 inches shorter than Woodrow and a couple inches shorter nose to tail too. You can kinda see in this pic the size difference.

As of Breed Standard - Woodrow and Sherman are very much better examples than - Luna-Tic - But she is always the character - always puts a smile on peoples faces!!

Some of you asked "How Does Sweetie Get On The Table" - The simple answer is she is part Cat - or Kangaroo - Not really sure - but she is very light on her feet - can walk across the back of my couch - and jumps effortlessly onto the tables - counters etc. And doesn't disturb anything when she does it. She sleeps onto of here crate so she can look out the window!!

On several occasions there have some of our Bloggie Buddies that have spoken about there collars - Well us Bullies have really big necks and head so we require Martingdale collar - But Mommy buys us special collars made by our good friend Heather at Mackenzie Belt - She makes the prettiest collars and they are very sturdy too!! Here are some of our favorites!! And when the collar part wears out mommy just sends it back and she fixes it!!!

Sweetie's is the Purple -Red us to be Woods but he grew out of it - So now its MJ's and Wood has the Blue.
We actually have 3 of these

As for our leashes - They are actually Horse Leads from Jeffers

They are 10-12ft long - simple - durable - and cheap

Woodrow and I skate everyday - I can skate with the all of them but usually dont since everyone else just slows Woodrow down - I even have skated with my bosses Vizla who doesnt have the stamina that Wood has. We do 10 - 12 miles Twice a day!! Plus he gets 2 -3 more walks -And he still comes home and runs around with his rope to get Sherman to play - and does his Zoomies 3 times a day

So heres the hard one - MJ's real name is Lebeouf's Bon Temps Boudreaux - So Mommy wanted to call me Boudreaux - but it sounded too much like Woodrow - so she had to come up with something different, so my daddy's name is Marshall and I look just like my daddy so she decided on Marshall Junior - well the breeder lady had a fit and mommy had to change it to a different J name - so she changed it to James!! But as of Sunday I have a new nickname - that mommy thinks is going to stick!!

A little back story - I got a boo boo at the dog park - Thor my 140lb German Shepherd buddy mistook me for a stick and bit me!! Well Uncle Fred was trying to hold me so mommy could fix one of my stitches that was coming undone and he called me Sherman like Sherman Tank!!

Woodman here - I am totally fine - Mommy just over reacts with this particular dog - we have lived in our house for almost 3 years and he has been a problem ever since - he has bite me or my sister 6 times bad enough for us to require hospitilization - but in NY a dog biting another dog is property damage - nothing can be done unless he bites a person (he has bitten Mommy twice - once more and he gets taken away) - Mommy has filed 19 police reports due to incidents we have had. The worse was when Mommy required 90 stitches and Me and Sweetie required surgery!!! The owner say he just gets out - and to go F myself when Mommy asks them to please keep him in there yard. They live 3 houses away - he has killed several other little doggie - but unfortunately everyone is scared of the owners - The Bully Mobile has been vandalized twice by this jerk - Our cameras caught it and we pressed charges!! PS - he is a Mango Doggie mix - 165 lbs

So now on to some more fun stuff - Mommy took MJ to the park this morning - And she brought her camera - If you remember Uncle Ron got fired last week as Cameraman for not taking enough pics of MJ!! So Mommy Took over - I did not go today because my allergies are really bad and so my feets are bothering me - Sweetie never goes cause running around for 2 hours isn't the queens style.

Hiya All - Woodrow here - My Mommy & Dr Bonnie who is like my adopted Mommy, have been totally over reacting - I was just keeping the piece of harness for safe kepping - but us doggies don't have pockets or nothing so I had to put it in my belly. But I gave it back - and I even offered up some poppies this morning - Mommy immediately texted Bonnie (5:30am) and there was a whole conversation about my POOP - how embarassing - My belly is still bothering me a little - so in hindsight maybe I need to find a better storage place in the future - but everything seem to be working properly now!!

So everyone can stop worrying about me - I am fine - and promise to stop storing crap in my Belly - I will hide it ath the foot of the tree in my ward like my buddy Khyra!!

Sweetie here - I am a very upset little girl - and do you want to know why

IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY ON MONDAY ND MOMMY DIDNT PUT IT ON MY BLOGGIE!!!

I am still trying to figure out how this oversight occured - true she had my friends over and we had - gorumet cupcakes from the expensive cupcake place in NYC. And she made me a special dinner (that the boys got too) - But not even a small mention of my royal birthday on the Bloggie!!!

Also as for the Bad Woodrow part of the title - Mommy was right he was sick and may still be - we are in the wait and see phase right now. He threw up a piece of Harness at 3am this morning from last year - yes it has been in his belly from last May when he was wearing the harness and we chewed him out of it and ate it. It is about 3 inches long and is complete with plastic buckle!!!

Just a quick update before we go check out all our bloggies - DaWoodster is back to 100% - We think his skin was bothering him cause he was fed contraband nummies over the weekend - He is deathly allergic to Chicken and Beef and people don't listen. So he broke out really bad - they are all drying up now and he will be better very soon.

Well DaWoodman - Is home and on pain meds - we have no idea what caused this - but x-rays and ultrasound shows no obstructions. Which is the main thing we worry about with him - Bloodwork is fine also. Nurse Sweetie is taking care of him and we are going to watch him for a couple days and hopefully he continues to improve.

He seemed better this morning - but still won't jump on the bed or couch - he cries to come up and will let me lift him now - where yesterday he squealed when i tried to lift him - but is still uncomfortable when i lift him!!

We are including these picture for our buddy Brutus - who Mommy was saying he is too big to be under the bed - this is what too big look like - Wood in his favorite spot!!!

Where to start - Well anyone who knows me knows 1 - My Dogs are my Kids - 2 - Woodrow is Extra special to me because of his circumstances before he came into my life, and how he entered my life. This story is all true - but many of you will think it totally stupid on my part - as did my Mother!!

FIRST SOME BACK STORY

Woodrow was show dog that was stolen/dumped and ended up being used as a bait dog (in dog fighting) - Well the fighting ring got broken up and he ended up at the CACC in NYC in October 2006 - Speculation is that he was dumped originally cause he had such severe allergies. He was taken in by the BTCA but He was very sick with Pneumonia and some other issues and was to be put to sleep - but an Incredible vet named Bonnie Brown stepped in and saved his life - He remained with Bonnie at her office for several weeks until he came home with me. Bonnie is a Veterinary Goddess - absolutely incredible - So if anyone in the NYC area need a great diagnostic vet.

Well DaWoodster 2 months after I broght him home - wasn't feeling well - I brought him to Bonnie - not knowing exactly what was wrong - but knowing something wasn't right - This was our first bout with OBSTRUCTION - he had the surgery and recovered well - the pulled out some tiles from wherever he was before me - a pair of my underwear - some leather - and some collar material.

THE INCIDENT

April 1st of 2008 I bought the kids new beds - for Woodrow's birthday - Woodrow ate his the first day - and within 12 hours his bowel was ruptured - I had tried the Peroxide thing - Bonnie gave him meds to puke the bed up - Scoped him but it was already in the bowel - we monitored him for 10 hours and decided to operate - but by that time his bowel was ruptured - Jane (Wood's Surgeon, Also Incredible) repaired the bowel - but said it didnt look good - Next day he doing good we have hope - which continues till day 4 - he starts to crash - untra sound reveals sepsis and the bowel becoming necrotic - Jane goes back in removes his, spleen, most of his pacreasis and stomach and a huge part of small bowel - also his Albumin level is dangerously low and he will need an albumin transfusion (Human Albumin - experimental procedure in dogs) and TPN (IV Nutrition) to survive - So he is moved to the ICU unit of the animal hospital where there is a VET outside his cage watching just him 24/7. Day 4 again he starts the crash - his weakened body cant fight the infections and he isnt healing - but his numbers are coming up a little - so we decide to go back in once more - the clean him out - put in new drains and a stomach/intestinal feeding tube - this will help him drain more efficiently and we can bypass his stomach and let it heal.

Well it finally all worked this time - 3 surgeries over 2.5 weeks and he is getting better - we got to day 5 - which was huge - and on day 8 he was released from the Hospital - but i was still nervous so i asked Bonnie to keep him for a couple more days to keep an eye on him so we moved him back to Bonnie's office - where almost immediately he spiked a Fever - long story short - he had an e-coli infection - one of those hospital super bugs - we had to get special meds released from the CDC and they are only safe for 7 days each so we did 7 days on one (liver toxic) then switched to the other for 7 days (kidney toxic) and back to the first one - after 3 weeks he was well enough to come home on different antibiodics.

So thats the Woodrow story - all the time - he never looked like he was ready to give up - if you dont believe me check out the following pics - some are incision pics that are a little graphic.

I would also like to add - while dying in the Hospital he chewed his IV's and ate pieces several time - kept escaping from his cage they had to put a padlock on it - and demanded to be walked twice a day.

So that is where I was last year - Moral of my story is - never brush off your dog eating something - cause you never know if it will make it through - I am now very sensitive to any dog chewing something - Mango man my heart jumped in my throat when i saw that tennis ball get lost in your huge mouth!!!

Deb & DaWoodster - who decided to give me some excitement at 5:45 this morning - he got rushed to Bonnie no idea what it is - He is in tons fo pain cant be lifted, petted, etc.. So keep your fingers crossed he is okay!!! And yes Bonnie called me back at 5:45 this morning - there isnt a better vet out there.

Banjo and Bijou were so nice to help us find this comic - our Mommy had seen it a long time ago and thought it was perfect - Since Woodrow eats everything and has had several Zipper surgeries. It also ties in really well with tomorrows post - Mango has asked where everyone was and what they were doing last year at this time - Well last year at this time Mommy was sleeping at the Hospital in Woodrow's cage with him - He was in the Hospital for 1.5 months and was given almost no chance of surviving - but Mommy had faith in her little boy - and the look in his eyes told her he wasn't ready to quit - so she let him fight and after a long time and 4 surgeries he came home. Sorry we havent been posting as much lately - Mommy is preparing for the Weekend - it is a tradition that our family throws a big party for 4th of July at our cabin in the woods - this year will be the 38th year straight - Grandpa started it years ago and Mommy has continued the tradition - people are already arriving - last year we had 200 people!! and 37 doggies and RV's parked all over the property (it's 390 acres)

I too like Sedona am going to cheat a little - cause when I go to the 6th folder and then the 6th picture - it is a folder of pics that I took for Aunt Millie after the hurricane almost destroyed her house - not a pic we want to remember. So i am a pic that is the 6th pic from the 6th folder in the Bully Brats folder!!!

Turns out it is a Pic of me when i first came to live with Mommy - i was a very sick boy with severe skin issues and pneumonia - so i had to keep warm with a shirt - but it was a cool shirt it said "What happens at the dog park stays at the dog park"

Sweetie also has asked me to post some pics of Woodrow when he was a puppy and was a bad boy - she feel like she is getting a bad rap after we posted the pics of her yesterday. So here are Woodrow's Bad Boy pics!! As you will see no where near as bad as Sweetie!!

Deb the Bully Brat Mom with a quick post

While the kids are off in Oregon assisting Dozer and Cooper with OWAS - I just wanted to post briefly and ask all our Doggie friends to say a little prayer, think a happy thought, light a candle or something for my Foster guy Bully - he has some type of neurological problem and it has gotten much worse in the last couple weeks - we have tried several types of meds but he continues to get worse - last night he was playing with his ball in the kitchen while I was cooking he snapped and went after me out of no where from the across the room he just charges - his attacks are getting more and more vicious and it has become harder to snap him out of them - so I have made that hard decision and the vet is coming tonight at 6.

Hiya all - Marshall James here - I just wanted to take a quick second to introduce my sister Siddalee to everyone - She lives in Texas where I am from - she is also deaf - she lives with a wonderful family there that have small kids for her to play with. She doesn't have a bloggie but I think she is so pretty I had to post her photos. Maybe if we ask really nice - Dawn the Mommy will post a comment with more info. Bully Brat crew here - and...Well we have decided we need to put mommy on final warning - she has really been slacking on our bloggie - so what she is on trial and need to work hard to make the moneys, to feed us!!! WE Have a BLOG-reputation to extablish and maintain.

SO - she has been warned and another slip up like this will not be tolerated!!!

So we received several awards in the last week - here they are in no particular order - all from Brind'Amore

The last week has been very busy for us too - Woodrow got another leg on his Advanced Agility Title and will probably finish this weekend.

We got our Meat delivery on Sunday all 200lbs - so it took mommy all day to cut and package it up - we eat raw but Woodrow has such severe food alergies (chicken, turkey, beef) mommy has to get special meat!!

We have been on the watch for Squirrels - and will continue and we have told our Buddy Gimli about the mission and he has agreed to help. So OPERATION WHACK A SQUIRREL is covered in Connecticut.

(He doesnt have a Bloggie yet - but the TN Bull Terrors and I are working on his Mommy)

So we will keep on Mommy to make sure she keeps our bloggie updated - but for now - everyone have a great day and we will be back tomorrow.

Well after 3 days up at the cabin we are very tired and decided to sleep late - We got up ate our nummies did a quick patrol of the house and yard and retired to the living room for some additional nappies - So mommy got the camera out and tortured us a little.

Mommy said Marshall looked silly the way he feel asleep with mommys water bottle - Woodrow is simply commatosed - and i was guarding as usual from my post on the arm of the sofa - so what my eyes are closed and I rolled off my post onto Woodrow seconds after this pic was taken.

Everyone Meet Sugar

Morning Everyone I have a very important announcement - I would like everyone to meet Sugar - She is a fellow Bull Terrorist sho lives with her pawrents Martine and Seth in California - She has alot in common with me she is a Brat - a rescue - Likes to be sit/sleep where she isn't suppose too (and is adored for that same reason) - and she is deaf .

We got Sugar in February, when she was about 1.5 years old. She was sent to the BT Rescue by her original family they took a new job and didn't have enough time for her (but I think they didn't realize what kind of doggie they had and didn't know what to do with her and didn't want to keep her). She then lived with a foster home, but didn't get along with the resident BT when it came to food and toys, Sugar is very dominant! So that's how we ended up with her.... when I saw her I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the whole world, with her stunning ears! We went to look at some of the boys at the rescue (one made me fall down he was so strong!), I had my heart set on a another dog but there was something about Sugar (originally named Shasta). We had never considered a deaf dog, but I knew I had to have her and all I had to to do was convince my husband! So now only a few months later I feel like I've never been without my Schuggs and can't imagine what it would be like if she wasn't always chewing up the TP role or standing places she shouldn't be (ie: tables, end tables, desk anywhere higher up!). Sugar definitely is my puppy soul mate!!

Hiya everyone MJ here with a quick post – I am calling out to all my doggie friends to try and convince mommy that I am all better!!! And to relax and let me be the bully I truly am!!!
Well I had my operation last Monday as most of you know and YES I know I have 4 different incisions that need to heal plus my jaw bone needs to heal from where the cyst was – and YES I know Dr Bonnie and Dr Jane says no running, jumping, playing rough, or playing with toys for 14 days – and YES when Mommy tried to let me play a little with Woodrow I went wild and left little pink dots all over Woodrow from the incisions in my mouth – BUT I FEEL FINE – I have been a very good boy and have taken my medicine – and now it is time to let me be the bully boy that I am.

Do you know how frustrating it is to watch Sweetie and Woodrow get to play in the yard and not get to participate – YES she lets me play in the yard by myself and even gave me a tennis ball – YES mommy gave me soft toys to play with – but I want Woodrow’s jolly ball and I WANT IT NOW – Now Now Now – I am a puppy in the prime of my adolescence and I am being quarantined in the Kitchen away from all the fun – this is no way for a puppy to live!!! Mommy says it is for my own good – but I disagree.
Who does this Mommy think she is to – Woodrow says Mommy will let me play with him when I am all better but for now we can only nap together on the couch and do easy playing – but no crazy bully fun – But Sweetie says as soon as Mommy leaves for work she will let me out of my room and we can go be crazy dogs in the yard.
I cant wait – I got some bully energy to spend – and some squirrels to chase. Till then I will rest up!!

Just a quick update on MJ. Now a week Post-op and he is doing great - Mommy says a little too good - he is very uphappy about not being able to play with us and run around. Mommy let him compete is puppy rally at our local show and he did really well and got a ribbon and everything - Woodrow got another Advanced Agility leg - big woop - I am still the #1 Princess and no one can even come close to that title.

Bully Brats - Total TERRORS

Well MJ is feeling much better - But Mommy is upset - she thought she was making progress with his biting on her shoes, pants, hands, and ME - but it must have been that his mouth was hurting him - cause he is back to his old nonsense. So Mommy is back to training!!! I tried to explain the rules but that little runt just won’t listen!!!

Sweetie is fine - a brat as always - she loves the rain - I think she is trying be red and brown like me - because she keep rolling in the dirt!!! Then Mommy has to wash her again she doesn’t like that but doesn’t learn to not roll in the mud!!
Mommy has to boat in the water so it is definitely summer time soon. We love the boat!! Plus we get fresh fish when we are out on the boat. Sweetie even jumps overboard and catches them herself - I wait for Mommy to catch one and she gives it to me.

Well my face isn’t swollen anymore - Mommy says she has no idea when I will learn my lesson not to play with the white fluffy dogs - this is the 4 time they have bitten me - Mommy says she is going to fire the dog walker - because she has no idea why she lets me play with them either. She doesn’t realize how persuasive I can be.

4 Surgeries No Waiting

So Sorry we haven’t posted since Friday but we had some excitement on Sunday....... Well you know when little kids aspire to be like there older siblings - Well Mommy believes that is what MJ was trying to do on Sunday. As some of you might know I have several Medical issues - I am doing much better now but well ya know ... I have a history so Mommy and Dr. Bonnie keep a very close eye on me. So Sunday morning Mommy noticed MJ’s face looked a little swollen – she checked and it looked like he has a small abscess inside his mouth – since he is teething that might be causing the swelling so Mommy decided to keep an eye on it and not panic right away. Well it turns out Mommy should have cause within a couple hours it was HUGE – like the size of my head!!! Mommy rushed him to Dr. Bonnie’s office but the mean doctor on call did nothing Mommy left MJ there and came home and assured me he was in good hands with my buddy Marina and Carmelo.

Well Monday morning Dr. Bonnie got in and called Mommy and said she was going to have Dr Jane look at it – Well Dr Bonnie is incredible but Dr. Jane is a Surgical Rock Star!!! She is my Surgeon and once Dr. Jane is called in you know it is bad!!!

So after a heart to heart with Dr. Bonnie and Dr Jane here is where we stand: …….

1) Turns out the bump in his mouth was a Bone Cyst Dr Jane cleaned it up the best she could to clean it out – the bone was damaged and it could come back so it is a wait and see type of situation

2) He also had some impacted and broken teeth that needed to be removed – they blamed me for breaking his teeth but I think it was something else!!! I told him to leave the door stops alone!!!

3) While they had him out they fixed his hernia

4) And Neutered him – I feel this was unnecessary but Mommy, Dr Bonnie and Dr Jane says it is better for him and me. Whatever!!!!!

So in true Bull Terror form he came home from the hospital yesterday and was trying to run and play – and BITE ME – you would think his mouth hurts – BUT NO he seemed fine.

So Mommy left me home to take care of the little guy so I gotta go – Sweetie is no help she just wants to eat his cone!!!

All Sorts of Updates

Well it looks like Killian and Mea are going to be able to be placed together very soon - Through all the wonderful support their are several people who have offered to Foster and/or Adopt them. Most will be going to meet them at the shelter in the next couple days - Mary who lives up there has been visiting daily and bringing goodies to them!!! Turns out the shelter is very good conditions with blanket and beds and volunteers that walk them and play with them. Also Mary is very involved with the shelter and has known one of the workers for several years - so these 2 are getting great treatment!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped - or even thought a good wish for them.

On the home front - Sweetie has finally decided that MJ is big enough - old enough for some discipline – She has been letting him get away with murder since he has been there – but Tuesday night she decided enough is enough and did her typical body slam move that she does to me all the time when I am too energetic. She will knock me over and lay on top of me and bite my neck - I easily get out but MJ had to be rescued by Mommy - Sweetie out weighs him by a good 20lbs!!! So Mommy rescued him – no injuries unless you count his pride – he has all of a sudden become very respectful of Sweetie – I tried to warn him to be nicer to her but he would not listen!!! He is just a little squirt that thinks he is much bigger than he really is – I let him beat me up and steal my toys – I don’t mind sharing – so he was getting a little too big for his britches as mommy would say – but Sweetie was kind enough to fix that!!

We are very happy the weather isn’t so hot anymore – Even though we had a nice time playing on the computer and watching TV - We are enjoying the cooler weather and getting walks all day long (5 yesterday) 3 so far today – Mommy is a sucker!!! And will walk us whenever we demand – and actually Sweetie and MJ only took 1 walk – I had 3 – they are sleeping on the couch – but I am ready to go!!! Our buddy Ron even came and ran with me at the park – I like that he runs fast!! Sweetie hung out with Ron too – but Sweetie doesn’t run – something about being a Lady!! Whatever!!

Help Killion & Mea Please

We have 2 Bully friends that are being surrendered to a Shelter in Amsterdam NY today due to here Parents having too many Doggies - Our Mommy works in rescue but wasn't unable to find a foster home for them in the week she had. This makes our Mommy very sad and so if anyone can help - please contact our Mommy ASAP. dcampy34@gmail.com

Here is a note from there Parents - and the Shelter information, they are both 4 years old - good with Dogs, Cats, Kids, etc.

Unfortunately, we have to bring Mea and Killian to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Amsterdam, NY, this morning. I spoke to them about holding the dogs while you arrange transport for rescue and they seemed willing to work with you. As I said before, I would much rather they be placed with a reputable rescue!! The shelter's phone number is (518) 842-8050. I will pass along your email addresses to them but I do not have a phone number for them to reach you at. We will be heading out to the shelter with them shortly and I will be sure they have all of the paperwork on the dogs. I appreciate all of your help and pray you can get in touch with the shelter to bail them out for placement. Thanks again. Doug and Jen Phillips

MJ's Adventure

Well Mommy brought MJ and I to see Aunt Lisa, Uncle Fred and Uncle Ron – I go there all the time and get to play with Aunt Lisa’s Beagles Morgan and Missy and Uncle Fred’s Doggie Gypsy (we don’t know what Gypsy is - we call her a bear) – they are kinda cute – they bark A LOT and Morgan is very mean she doesn’t like being sniffed and will try and bite me – but she is old, slow and cranky so I just leave her alone. But MJ wouldn’t take a hint so he required some brotherly advice.

Missy and Gypsy love to play and it was so nice out – so while Mommy and Uncle Ron did some work in Aunt Lisa and Uncle Fred’s yard we got to play all day. Here is a pics of Missy and MJ laying in the garden.

Sweetie stood home because she is the mascot for Mommy’s Softball Team and was very tired from the 3 games Mommy played earlier that morning. I use to be a mascot too – but I don’t do hot weather!!! So I only go when it is nice out!!!

Sweetie, Mj and I would like to thank Checkers and Feather, Darla, Pappy & LizzaBella for the wonderful awards - We unfortunately are very new at this and don’t have 8 new Doggies to send this out to without duplicating doggies who already have received it - We plan to search the BloggerSphere to find some new Doggie to give this to.

Crashed Truck Update

Well Mommy says the truck will be all better soon and we will be able to go for rides again. Mommy took me out in the BMW last night top down and all which is how I should always travel since I am a Princess!!!

Yes Khyra – Mommy says Woodrow can drive from now on – he is a much better driver than Mommy – But we fear that he will just take the truck and head down to TN to see his girl Feather – Together they will take the House on Wheels and who know where they will end up. Biggest problem is Gimli isn’t far away either – can you imagine all these Bullies together it could be chaos!!!!

Fear not Feather Louise – Woodrow is doing okay – he had his car harness on that plugs into the seat belt - Mommy was driving and had her seatbelt on too – the Taxi definitely knew he messed up since his car ended up under Mommy’s truck. Woodrow was back to Hucklebutting last night – slower than usual but playing again. Dr Bonnie figures that it is all just bruising from the airbags and harness under his front legs. Dr Bonnie suggested 2 weeks of taking it easy and laughed immediately after – she knows us too well to ever think Mommy can keep us quiet for 2 weeks and survive!!! So mommy is limiting his activity as much as she can a useless effort once he feels better!!!

Mommy Crashed

Well Mommy has gone and done it now – She crashed the Truck something good – she claims it wasn’t her fault that she got rear ended – but I don’t care all I know is we don’t have a truck to ride in and Mommy says the car is off limits!! Woodrow says it really wasn’t Mommy fault that the silly yellow Taxi cab hit her from behind in traffic – and pushed her into the other car – but who can believe boys.
So since Mommy and Woodrow got hurt in the crash – I have to settle and play with MJ – I guess I can deal with that but Woodrow is much more durable than MJ – I squish MJ every time I try and climb on top of him. Mommy says to cool it and play gentle because he is only a baby – and if I keep it up he will get his revenge when he grows up. I say “Bring It”.
Well gonna go for now – gotta go check on Mommy – will post again soon –

Playmates!!

Greeting Bloggie Buddies - Sweetie continues to play like a true lady with us boys – Mommy says we are real pains – and she is so SO so proud of her little girl. Don’t know how we are pains we just want to play!!!

Well I figured since Mommy is going to be very busy this weekend delivering 3 doggies to there forever homes and wont be able to post much, I am gong a post a couple of pictures for everyone to enjoy to hold them over the weekend.

Here is MJ playing with Sweetie – notice MJ’s paws in the air before the pounce – and Sweetie’s “UGH Not again look”. Sweetie isn’t too happy about being pounced on – MJ climbs all over her as you are able to see in the next picture. MJ believes we are his jungle gym – he will spend hours just climbing all over me while I am lying down playing with my toys. Sweetie only tolerates it for a little while till she goes and lays down out of MJ’s reach/

I soon joined the party we played nice for awhile and just ran around the yard and house chasing my jolly balls and a couple tennis balls mommy had.

Then we teamed up against Sweetie it was Boys against Girls this lasted for 15 minutes till we tired Sweetie out – Sweetie held her own she is a tough little brat.
But 2 was a little too much for her MJ is getting to be almost as big as her already – so Mommy made us stop and put us in the den and let Sweetie take a rest – She doesn’t have nearly as much energy as us boys.

We continued to play in the den – one of my favorite games –The Can you get the Cuz toy out of my mouth game.

We played for hours then we finally went to bed. MJ is a very good boy and puts himself to bed when he is tired. Only problem is he likes to sleep in Mommy’s bathtub, Mommy lets him and has even put blankets in there – But I still think he is silly.

Well gotta go – have a great weekend everyone

Great to hear LizzaBella is staying with you - My Mommy says Sweetie and NillaBean are failed fosters too - Bean spends most of her time with Aunt Laura, Unlce Al and George our cousin - he's a bully too. They are retired and can deal with all her social engagements. But when she is here we all just take it easy - Our Bloggie header is the 3 of us taking up the whole couch!!!

Life is Good - Still

Well Sweetie here - and yes I have decided the little ankle biter can stay as long as he stays away from my FOOD - I have no problems sharing my toys, couch, bed and please – if he even occupies Woodrow for a little while he is worth his weight in gold!!!

Since Woodrow has been feeling better he is a royal pain in the ass!! Play play play –He has been getting up at 3am every morning and hucklebutting on the bed. Doesn’t he realize us girls need our beauty sleep Me and Mommy did exactly that this morning.

MJ woke up around 5 so Mommy woke Woodrow up and told him to get MJ – after a little coaxing Woodrow went and let him out of his crate they both went out into the yard did there business and then played for an hour – while me and mommy stood in bed.

It was wonderful until the playing came rolling into the bedroom – I simply couldn’t resist and started playing too – Mommy covered her head with the blanket but that didn’t work we just pulled it back down – it was breakfast time.

So we call were up – got our Food I am very grumpy around food so I eat in the kitchen and my brothers eat in the dining room – I bark at them until Mommy brings be back to my bowl. They need to be reminded to stay away!!

After Breakfast we went for a walk in the rain – Woodrow didn’t come since Mommy says he isn’t waterproof!! Then we all went back to sleep on the couch while Mommy got ready for work.

Woodrow here - with BIG BIG news - Sweetie has decided that MJ can stay!!!!

As some of you know she can be VERY bratty so Mommy was being very careful introducing MJ to her since she isn’t very tolerant and he is a bit short on manners. He is starting to learn from me that biting isn’t acceptable – especially biting my unmentionables – but Mommy says he is only looking for the milk bar (whatever that is) and I have been gently telling him NO and he is learning!! So after 2 weeks of being his chew toy he is getting better slowly – so Mommy let him hang out with Sweetie on Sunday and they played nice almost all day under Mommy and my supervision. Sweetie is rougher than I am with him but she listens to me and he gets the point when he is being a bad boy.

MJ has also decided he does not want to sleep in his crate he much prefers to sleep in the bathtub – Mommy says this is okay so we let him be – but he is very funny he will be playing and running around and all of a sudden decide he is tired and goes into his tub. Mommy put his bed and blanket in there for him – she also keeps a bed and blanket in his crate but he doesn’t use it!!

MJ saw Dr. Bonnie and she says his hernia is very bad and he will need surgery very soon – but other than that he is a-okay. Dr Bonnie is also very impressed at what a healthy boy I have become – they all doubted my Mommy with the raw diet – they even convinced her to take me off and I got even sicker – but now that I am back on my special diet - I am healthy and happy and full of energy. Dr Bonnie is a believer now and has put several of her other clients on raw – and they are doing better.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday – Mommy made us a special dinner – and we get more special food today – LEFTOVERS!!! Yay!!! So I gotta go get to bugging Mommy for a run.

Bo - Newest Addition

Well Bo has been getting settled in pretty well - I love him he is very fun to play with - Sweetie is getting much better - and Bean during her appearance over the weekend thought he was swell too!! Here are pics of him with his original mom and dad (Fred and Judy Schneider) – they are very happy to see he has a big brother like me to take care of him and show him the ropes.

I have showed him tons of stuff – like the joy of Jolly Balls and ropes. But most of all he like climbing all over me and biting my tail. I am teaching him what he can get away with - and how to use the doggie door and stay away from Sweetie when she is grouchy.

Well i gotta go - i know this is a very short update but the Mommy is coming to take us for walkies.
